My Physical Journey
I recently went through a 5 month fitness journey and the transformation went far beyond the physical. I went through a mental but also an identity shift where I questioned who I was as a person and got to the core of what was blocking me from achieving the physique I dreamed of. This was a necessary foundational step to realize why I wasn’t in the shape of my life and what needed to change so I could get there. The answer was how and what I identified myself with/ as, and how I viewed my place in the world.
The insight lead to action that helped me get through the final push, but also opened my eyes to the fact that the very same things that were blocking my physical transformation were blocking my true potential and the unique gifts I could share with the world and make an impact with.
Fitness is a springboard for the rest of your life, when you do it right you realize the profound mutual influence on mindset, nutrition, goal setting and identity. The amount of self confidence and self esteem that getting into the best shape of my life has given me beyond just fixing my health is priceless, and just the beginning of a beautiful journey called living my best life.
Moving your body gives you strength, courage, confidence, health, stress reduction, and settles your mind. I hope everyone finds their movement of choice- let that be weight lifting, cycling, dancing, yoga, or whatever makes your heart and body sing- and loves it so much it becomes a major part of their life. Taking control of your health with this will glow up the rest of your life and your body and skin will be forever grateful for doing so
